Top 10 Fashion Inspiration for Summer 2010

So girls here is my top 10 fashion inspiration for this Summer.

1. Button Up Shirt - I love the blouse, its so feminine and sweet and looks lovely with just about anything. With short shorts, your favorite jeans, or left open over a cute dress. Its a must in every girls wardrobe.

2. Killer Wedge - must have!!! Wear them all through summer and straight into winter. Makes any set of pegs look slimmer.

3. Summer Blazer - perfect with anything and looks so sophisticated.

4. Something Special Dress - a dress (or two or three) you can wear for party, Christmas and wedding summer occasions. My favorite colours are neutrals, bold reds, or khaki look.

5. Singlet and Tee - I love a loose singlet and tee (and so does Nicole Richie). Perfect to hide the Christmas tummy (although ladies...this shouldn't be the case if you've been following my exercise inspiration tips he he). I always have a fresh white and black one ready as a backup.

6. Cute Casual Beach Dress - there is something so lovely about a sweet little white beach dress. Go for simple and classic.

7. Pleated Shorts and Pants - sophisticated and fun, and perfect for every mumma this summer.

8. Hat - its a must in our Aussie sun. Plus there are so many cute ones to choose from...why wouldn't you wear a hat!

9. Something Bold - Whether its a bold print item of clothing or an outrageously large neck piece...bold is the way this summer. Remember ladies only buy a one off item (don't fill your wardrobe with too much bold print).

10. Leather - The past few winters leather (pleather) has been huge in jackets... but this summer leather shorts and skirts are a must in your wardrobe. Make your leather look more feminine by matching it back with floral or your favorite flowy blouse.

Sass and Bide have so many cute pieces to assist you in these looks.

Hat Inspiration (for those bad hair days)

A hat is essential in every girls wardrobe. We all have those days when our hair is not doing what we want it to (especially with the weather the way it is at the moment...yuk humidity).

Some tips for hatting it up:
* Buy one that you will actually wear (take a friend for an honest opinion)
* Keep your hair out or try a loose plat... more feminine and cute.
* If its your first hat pick a dark colour, it wont stick out and make you feel uncomfortable.
* Try a relaxed brim hat for a super cute and sexy look.
* If the wider brim doesn't suit try the bowling hat for that casual but hot look.

Try these cute looks with your hat... pic inspiration.

Favorite Summer Shoes

Anyone that knows me knows that shoes are one of my weaknesses. Wedges have to be up near the top of my favorites for summer through to winter. With a plain wedge option or laced (so sweet). I am also loving the brown clog and brown strappy heal. And when I'm wanting a more casual look I always pull out my leather flats (Hermine's) from The Horse .

You'll love some of my favorite shoe inspiration pics.

Favorite Trend // Leather Shorts

Leather is definitely not everyones thing... but mumma's its one of my favorites.

Throughout winter I worn my leather-look leggings non-stop and my most recent purchase consists of an amazing pair of high waisted genuine vintage leather shorts from General Pants. So in true stylist fashion I've gone about researching how to best wear them to suit my body shape.

Whilst high waisted pants don't always suit an hourglass figure (as it can accentuate your butt and thighs), if worn right it can still look great. I'll be wearing my leather shorts with a long baggy singlet, or a fitted top tucked in with an open shirt over the top. Or as Rachel Bilson has, with a cute floral shirt (I love this look she has gone for... so cute).
