Pregnancy Diary // 36 Weeks

4 weeks to go! I know, its not long at all. I need this 4 weeks so that I can get organised. With our renovations almost complete I'm getting excited to start the nesting process. Babies room needs to be set up still but only after we have had new carpet laid. So its all very exciting.

I've been feeling so good. With the itching under control I feel alive and energetic. So the next 4 weeks are very exciting for us. Poor Trev has been working very hard, what a good dad and husband he is.

Week 36
Feeling: Great.
Walks: only 1 due to the rain and having a cold.
Weight: 14kg (and Id like to stay this weight. I put on 14kg with Charlie and stopped gaining weight at 36 weeks so fingers crossed).
Hospital Preparation: Babies bag is packed and I will get my bag packed next week. (My cousin asked if I had a going-home outfit picked yet, and I don't, but I will get back to you with some good hospital and going-home outfits).

Fashion
We got to celebrate one of our beautiful friends birthdays this week with a brekky at Kazbar in Balmain. And it was so lovely. Below is the outfit I wore. A flowy, short white cotton dress with some black stockings and my brown horse leather shoes. To brighten it up I picked a patterned colourful scarf. And for some fun and warmth I wore my grey faux fur/fluffy jacket.

Tip: When you are this far along in pregnancy its hard to look slim, because your just not. So have some fun with textured fabrics and colours. Try to enjoy your size and curves.

Pregnancy Diary // 35 Weeks

5 Weeks to go...that's so not long. Especially considering that we (by we I mean my poor hubby Trev) have to finish renovating upstairs to make room for our new baby addition.

I'm feeling good but not particularly inspired to dress fashionably. When I'm not going out I'm either in pj's or my bonds trackies and with 5 weeks to go I think I have every reason to be relaxing and making the most of comfortable clothing.

Week 35
Feeling: Not too bad. Looking forward to having a baby free body.
Walks: 2 walks
Weight: 13kg

Fashion
Its come to that stage when dressing to go out means picking from the few larger comfy items I have. This week it was an oversized white tee with my denim shirt and maternity black jeans. I've also started wearing a little lippy (which is totally new for me, as I'm more of an eye makeup person). I'm wearing a bright pink matte lipstick in this photo. Blotting it prevents it from being to bright and overpowering. Just a bit of fun when I can't do much with my outfits anymore.

Pregnancy Diary // 34 Weeks

I have some great news for all those people that have been praying and thinking of me, the itching has improved!! I have been having great sleeps and am so less irritated which is such a blessing. Big thanks for your thoughts and prayers, it was much appreciated.

At 34 weeks along I am feeling good again. I enjoyed a week down in Milton which was a nice break. Charlie kept himself busy with my dads tools and I got to relax and enjoy being spoilt by my parents. I love that no matter how old you are, when you are with your mum and dad your the child again and they look after you like no one else knows how to. Love my parents.

Week 34
Feeling: So much better.
Weight: 12kg
Walks: 0 - just relaxed and enjoyed myself.
Look: I'm getting that faint line on my tum and am looking nice and round.

Fashion
I had a week of comfort clothes whilst down in Milton. Relaxed tees with leggings or loose fit pants. I was also often found in my PJ's (even for my lunch time nap).

So rather than show you how to be comfy in pj's (I'm sure you all know how to do that) I thought I'd bring you some different kind of inspiration.

The 'stop looking at my ever growing tum Victoria Beckham hair piece trick'. At Prince Will and Kates Wedding Victoria B wore an amazing black flowy knee length dress (I thought she looked amazing in it) and an interested head piece that you couldn't keep your eyes off. She was said to have worn the head piece to take the focus off her ever growing tummy (I love that). So I'm popping up a pic of me with a head scarf on (no Vic B but you get what I mean). Great way to take the focus off elsewhere (especially if your having a yuk day). I like to tie my head scarfs slightly off to the side of my head in a little bow. So next time your not feeling that inspired with clothing try the scarf and see what you think.

Pregnancy Diary // 33 Weeks

Week 33 started out as an absolute shocker. I had a doctors appointment and got given some strong medication to help with my itching. I was so ready for a good night sleep. However, I hardly slept a wink. Firstly poor little Charlie was vomiting and waking all night. My poor little man was so sick. It was nice to be there for him and try forget about myself for abit. However after that sleepless night and then the next night also being sleepless I found myself going insane. Crying in the most inappropriate times (like in the middle of the chemist to people I didn't even know). There are going to be quite afew people happy to meet this little person when he/she finally arrives.

However God is good, and Thursday night was the best sleep I've had in a long time. Only waking once and sleeping so soundly otherwise it was the break I desperately needed. It reminded me that God never puts you in a situation that you cant handle (with his help of course). So hopefully things will be up from here in.

Week 33
Feeling: After Thursdays sleep things are looking up, but keep praying for me if you can.
Walks: 2 walks
Weight: 12kg (still on par with my pregnancy with Charlie. I seem to get to a certain weight and then just hover from here on in).
Look: Some people say I look big some small, but all I know is that my whole torso is totally filled with baby belly.

Fashion
So this week it was all about being comfortable and wearing light clothes. These a some cute floral jersey pants I bought last year. Add a fitted black tee, (and to go out a scarf, and a loose fit cardi) and the comfort outfit is ready.

Floral Pants - Cotton On
Fitted Black Tee - cant remember

Favorite Trend // Velvet Anything and Everything

So ladies I'm sure you've all picked up my past obsession with leather. Well I've moved on. SHOCK!!

I've been in love with velvet for the past couple of months. Its so smooth and comfy. I've picked up a few velvet pieces recently so I thought Id share my own inspiration pics for velvet.

My first piece is a pair of velvet leggings. They are so cute. I got them from my son (or maybe my hubby) for Mothers Day.. so sweet. These are definitely my favorite item to wear at the moment. I love the texture these leggings bring to an outfit. I wore them with a stripped tee, black blazer and leopard spot scarf for abit of fun.

Secondly, I bought this gorgeous velvet dress from vinnies about 8 months ago. Its not something Ill be able to wear through my pregnancy as its quite fitted on top. So its a piece I'll be putting away for when I get my pre-baby body back. Woohoo always nice to have something to work towards. Its fitted on the arms and torso and has a cute little a-line skirt. I cant wait to give this dress a go.

Thirdly, I bought this peach coloured velvet jacket from ebay recently. While I am not totally convinced on the colour I think I can have some fun with it. My thoughts, keep my outfit pretty simple. All black underneath or a cute little dress of some description and my jacket. Lets give it a go and see how it looks. Either way I'll wait till this pregnancy is over before I try and get into it (oh and the flower is removable... thank goodness ha ha).

Hope you enjoy. oxo
