New Look // Old Clothes

Don’t rush out to buy the latest spring fashion just yet. I find that if I wait a couple of weeks, before hitting the shops, I generally make better decisions and choose things I’ll get a lot more use out off.

Sometimes it can be as simple as remodeling some of your old clothes.

Here are some pointers to sorting your old clothes:
Put aside a day to go through all your clothes. Make sure you’re in a creative headspace.

Be ruthless. Get rid of any clothes that are discoloured, or have lost their shape. Don’t hold onto clothes that don’t fit properly or that you know you won’t wear. If you have some good quality and good condition clothing consider selling them on ebay or at a local market (extra pocket money for when you do make your summer purchases).

Do a drawer at a time, and then your hanging clothes. Sort methodically and then the job will not become overwhelming.

Remodeling your old clothes:
I’ll pop some pics up of some cute little outfits that you can make up with clothes you already have. New looks with old clothes.

Old Clothes:
- Button up shirts (checked and floral)
- Short shorts, denim is best (cuff the bottoms or rough up the edges)
- Little floral, spotty, plain dresses
- Winter blazer (just fold up the sleeves)

Some new looks:
- Button up shirt over a loose singlet with short shorts
- Little floral dress with a blazer over the top
- Little black, spotty, plain dress with a tied belt (I'll post some belt tips soon)
- Blazer with short shorts and long oversized tee
